Three Dates with Mr. Darcy, a three-story anthology by author Elizabeth Ann West.

Enjoy an exclusive novella, Much to Conceal, and the first books in her two Jane Austen Fan Fiction variation series.

A Winter Wrong, the first book of the Seasons of Serendipity, is a novella series that wonders what if Mr. Bennet died at the very beginning of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice?

By Consequence of Marriage is the first novel in a series the reimagines the entire story if Mr. Darcy did not rescue his sister, Georgiana, from the clutches of George Wickham.

All 3 stories are perfect for a snuggled reading afternoon with your favorite warm beverage! Elizabeth Ann West confesses she is hopelessly Darcy addicted and prays no one finds a cure!

Pros: I enjoyed Ms. West's writing. While I understand people not liking the way certain characters choose to behave or the twists that the stories take, I still enjoyed how she told the stories. Paying only one dollar for three stories seemed like a great deal.

One big con: Only the novella is a complete story.

"Much to Conceal" is a short novella, as advertised.

"A Winter Wrong" is the first of five books. While the story was by no means over, at least there wasn't a huge cliffhanger. To find out what happens, such as if our dear couple actually wed, book 2 costs $3, while books 3-5 cost $5 each. (Total for full story, not including this first book: $18)

"By Consequence of Marriage," the longest of the three stories, ends with a huge cliffhanger. It turns out to be part 1 of at least four books, and I read in one review that it is the first of what will be six books. I don't mind a series that continues, but I do not want to have to buy the next book (or five) to finally get a happily-ever-after. What's extremely disappointing is that the subsequent books are quite expensive, at least at this time (book 2 is $9, book 3 is $10). Yes, the books are 300+ pages (wonderful!), but they aren't complete.

It is true that the blurb at the top of the page tells that these books are the first of a series. To me, though, a "series" means a set of books that all have to do with each other, a continuation of the story. I feel that these books aren't series, but one book split into many payments. It makes me feel like I've been had. I know that many authors are doing this nowadays, but it doesn't make it any more enjoyable for those of us buying the books. I feel that if an author wants to write a super-long story, that's great, but it should be advertised as one story in three (or six) parts, with the readers knowing going in that they will have to spend a lot more money to finish the story.

Part of reading a romance is having that warm, happy feeling at the end. That doesn't happen here.

1% to 18% Much to conceal – back in London with her sister, Elizabeth finally relates all about Darcy’s proposal and his letter. Jane decides to play matchmaker and along with their Aunt Gardiner drop in unexpectedly at the Darcy town house. Although he wants no visitors when his housekeeper relates that a Miss Elizabeth Bennet, her sister and aunt have stopped in and want to speak to him he asks Georgiana to entertain while he addresses the need for some neglected grooming. An invite to dinner and with Richard’s help in getting Lord and Lady Matlock. In the midst of dinner and the Matlock’s rebukes about the unsuitability of Elizabeth for Darcy’s wife, she stands and has her say including how wrong she was about his character and about turning him down in the manner used. Darcy drags her to his study and sets things right. “Now just how will Mr. Bennet react” is our parting thought.

18% to 43% A Winter Wrong – I read this before as a standalone book and reviewed it separately.
43% to 100% By Consequence of Marriage - I read this before as a standalone book and reviewed it separately.
An earlier review states that this is a collection of sample chapters from other books but it's NOT TRUE. Three Dates with Mr Darcy is three complete novellas written by Elizabeth Ann West and her novellas are long. Each is well written and true to Jane Austen's humor and sweetness with plenty of Elizabeth's own style and wit seamlessly woven in.
I cannot imagine what the previous reviewer was reading when they wrote their review but it was not this book based on what they wrote. This book is a wonderful introduction to Elizabeth Ann West as a JAFF authour. There are three stories for a total of about 70 chapters. I had previously purchased these books individually for considerably more than 99 cents.

Much to Conceal is a standalone, 7 chapter story that begins in London after Elizabeth has refused Darcy and come to regret it. Jane and Mrs. Gardiner intervene in a very cute way to put the couple in each other's presence.

A Winter Wrong is a 13 chapter story that is the first book in a series of 5. Mr. Bennett died, Mr. Collins becomes master of Longborn and Elizabeth takes refuge in London with the Gardiners. This book ends with Elizabeth's engagement to Darcy. Well written and very enjoyable read.

By Consequence of Marriage is 50 chapters long and is part of a series that is not yet complete. The premise here is that Darcy was not able to prevent the marriage of Georgianna to Wickham. Love this series. Georgianna is quite awful. You seldom see her portrayed this way. Caroline was her usual manipulative self and Wickham was true to form. Extremely enjoyable.

Wonderful and very entertaining stories, well worth reading, especially at such a great price.
I purchased this book because I wanted to read "Much to Conceal" and have already read the other two stories. I had every intention of just reading the one, but found myself cuddled on the couch reading straight through all three. I had forgotten how good the other stories were!

The Ms. West's stories are always interesting, engaging and original. The only "complaint" I have is that the series books were not all out when I read the series. I had to wait for the next one to be released! You fortunate people do not need to wait. The books are available now!

In "Much to Conceal", Jane is stronger, more helpful and less self absorbed. I really like that Jane was give more to do then stand around looking pretty and wringing her hands.

I am not very good at writing reviews. I am always afraid I will give too much away or sway someone with my opinion. For me, every book has the potential of being great if read by the right person. Consequently, I don't typically review unless I can say something nice. I can in this instance. I enjoyed all three books in this Anthology as well as the related books in the series. At the current price, this is a opportunity to get hours of entertainment for less than a cup of coffee! Treat yourself.
